All minigames are played with button controls, so you can stick to the Joy-Con controller or bust out the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller or a Nintendo Switch Lite system.

Matches with friends in board game mode save each turn, so feel free to take a break and pick up where you left off. Use stickers to praise or pester fellow players as you race across the board collecting stars. All modes support online multiplayer, so you can hop in with friends for a few minigames or a marathon 30-turn match. Victory is just as sweet (and stealing stars is just as satisfying) from anywhere across the globe.

- *Mt. Minigames - Mt. Minigames is where you can play all kinds of minigames in different courses.
- *Free Play - Choose whichever of the 100 minigames you want to play!
- *Sports and Puzzles - Change the settings to practice your skills in Sports and Puzzle minigames. Enjoy sports at a leisurely pace or test your mettle in Score Attack with puzzles.
- *Coin Battle - Play with three other players and see who can rack up the most coins! Coin Minigames, Bonus Minigames, and other events can happen sometimes too. After the dust settles, the player with the most coins wins!
- *Tag Match - In 2 vs. 2 Minigames, your teamwork is really put to the test. The first team to reach 3, 5, or 10 stars wins.
- *Trio Challenge - Maintain your win streak in 1 vs. 3 Minigames! Play solo or as a team. To clear each stage, you’ll have to win five times in a row.
- *Survival - Just one player can play online in this mode. Compete with players near and far for a streak of wins!
- *Daily Challenge - Just one player can play online in this mode. You can play varied, themed packs of minigames that rotate daily.
