The singer began working on the album in 2014 - she also renewed her record deal with RCA Records. Lacking a deadline for completion, Spears continued work into 2015 and 2016, which-according to Spears-provided her the opportunity to create one of her favorite albums in her catalogue. LP version is two 150 gram discs in a gatefold sleeve.
