"What's Left for You" is Kanafani's second experience in writing a novel. It comes after "Men in the Sun" to try to express the will to get out of the self into action, and from personal concerns that take general connotations to personal concerns that are part of the general concern.
The five heroes: Hamed, Zakaria, Maryam, the desert and the clock, mix and present An image of the internal relations that make the subject part of the objective, and that impose historical action as the only way out of the tunnel.
