What trust? There is a lot of misinformation - and many myths, beliefs and expectations - about the definition of trust and how we are supposed to build it, and that information can leave us feeling stuck, inferior, stressed and confused! To clarify this important issue, I will first highlight what the concept of trust does not apply to, and then give a clear and succinct definition of what trust is - from a psychological perspective. Confidence is not narcissistic, nor does it entail excessive self-interest or vanity. It is quite different from “apparent competence”—that someone appears competent and capable from the outside; But he suffers and feels pressure and anxiety from within. True confidence does not involve pretending, and cannot be built on the method: "Pretend something until you can master it." , which suggests that you can be confident by pretending to do something confidently, and this approach contributes to inauthenticity (pretending not to be who you are), shyness, and self-judgment; Because this approach doesn't accept your mistrust, your ignorance of something, your difficulties, and it doesn't accept you making mistakes - when the opposite is true
